CLINIQUE JOINS MARIE CLAIRE FOR ONLINE MAKEOVER TOOL LAUNCH

September 4, 2008

MarieClaire_Clinique www.marieclaire.co.uk is boosting its beauty offering with a new virtual makeover tool, which is being supported at launch by premium cosmetics brand Clinique.

Marie Claire Makeovers in association with Clinique allows users to try new beauty looks whilst sitting at the computer. Through uploading a photograph or selecting one of the models, the makeover tool allows users to test a number of styles, colours and beauty applications, including lip colours, eyeshadows and blushers before clicking through to purchase.

The Makeover tool incorporates a portfolio of products and on trend colours from the Clinique range including the new High Impact Lip Colour SPF 15 collection.

Marie Claire publishing director Richard Johnstone says: “We are continually building the beauty offering on www.marieclaire.co.uk and this interactive tool is an exciting addition to our already market leading beauty channel. Clinique is a popular brand with the Marie Claire audience and the integration of the Clinique range into the Marie Claire Makeover tool will provide a great showcase for their products.”

In addition, IPC Southbank's In Style will be enhancing its website www.instyle.co.uk in September with a celebrity hair makeover tool. Visitors will be able to upload a photograph and try on the latest and hottest celebrity hairstyles, from Jennifer Aniston's trademark locks to Katie Holmes's bob.

In Style publishing director Kirsten Price says: “The In Style website is all about showcasing the latest in A-list celebrity style. We know how important hair content is to our visitors. With this new Hair Makeover tool, visitors will have great fun seeing which celebrity hairstyle suits them most. It's an addictive and useful tool which will give even more depth of content to Instyle.co.uk
